Digital evidence is time sensitive. Treat it like physical evidence left in the rain.

Begin every case with a digital evidence triage. Ask:

• What digital sources exist?

• Who controls them?

• How long will they last?

📌 Practical Action: As soon as possible send out preliminary preservation letters to cell providers, cloud platforms, and known video sources. You may only have days to secure data that can make or break your case.
